United is the South Cheltenham Churches youth ministry, which serves all young people of the South Cheltenham Team aged 11-18.
We have two very active evening groups.
Rock Solid is for young people in school years 7-9. Currently, we run on a Tuesday evening from 7-8.30pm at Emmanuel Church. It’s an evening full of fast paced games, fun activities and discussions about God and faith. If you wish to join but have not been before, please contact Hanna.
NextGen We run on a Tuesday evening from 7-8.30pm at Emmanuel Church. We look at the Bible together and think about how our faith affects our lives. We also love playing games together, currently we are obsessed with JackboxTV! Please contact Hanna if you wish to join.
We host several socials a term within the individual groups, but also one large one as a whole! These have included bouncy castles, large game nights and Human vs Zombies, which basically was a massive Nerf Gun adventure in a darkened church. We very much look forward to the day it will be safe to do so again!
Hanna Stuercken is Youth for Christ Gloucestershire’s Church Partnership Youth Worker. Within this capacity she heads up United on behalf of the South Cheltenham Team. Having come to faith in her late teens, she is very passionate about seeing young people’s lives changed by Jesus. Hanna is generally known for introducing United to our most popular game “Deathball” and also loses at “Empires” every time she joins in. She only needs four things in life to keep her happy: Jesus, free food, coffee and cats.
Having grown up in Switzerland, Hanna’s background is originally in banking. Later, she studied Literature and History, before completing a Ministry Trainee year and joining the South Cheltenham Team.
