We are very happy to host funeral services in Church or to lead services at Cheltenham crematorium. A traditional Church of England service can be a great comfort at times of grief and our clergy team is available to meet with families to help you plan a personal service that celebrates the life of someone that you have loved, lost and see no more.
Usually, the first arrangements are made between the family and the funeral director, who will in turn contact a member of our clergy team. Should you wish to call us directly, please call:
Revd Nick Davies 07801336144
Revd Gary Grady 01242 511522
Revd Sarah McDonald Haden 07957 669157
There are various options for the service and our clergy will be happy to discuss these with you. Many people have a Church of England funeral ceremony at Cheltenham Crematorium, others have a funeral service in church followed by a shorter committal service at the Crematorium. Sometimes families choose to have a brief committal service for close family, followed by Memorial Service in church.
A service in church often allows more time for tributes, prayers and hymns and for more people to attend, as we can easily seat several hundred people. We will do all we can to fit in with the family’s arrangements.
